It is necessary to compel the Tories to ensure the money given to learning institutes is being spent well. As my report on Grant MacEwan College shows, pouring govt. money on into institutes on behalf of students is worse than useless if accountability for that money is lacking.
Marnie Tunay
(see the report on Grant MacEwan College for free with most of the 160+ records cited at the URL:
http://fakirscanada.spaces.live.com/?lc=1033
and click on the 'MacEwan Report' folder.Fakirs Canadahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12194254351555848321noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-10290429.post-58518675836876811672008-02-21T02:54:00.000-07:002008-02-21T02:54:00.000-07:00Unfortunately by only having the NDP's response in...Unfortunately by only having the NDP's response incluced in the Imagine Alberta campaign it looses a lot of credibility.

People will dismiss it at another third-party advertisement geared towards the NDP.

So much potential was lost.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-10290429.post-32002502620840531152008-02-20T11:44:00.000-07:002008-02-20T11:44:00.000-07:00I'm looking forward to your analysis, Dave.I'm looking forward to your analysis, Dave.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-10290429.post-80954133738211014962008-02-20T11:42:00.000-07:002008-02-20T11:42:00.000-07:00If the NDP can't even properly maintain a website ...If the NDP can't even properly maintain a website how can Albertans expect them to be an effective opposition?Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-10290429.post-70676932293025362212008-02-20T11:35:00.000-07:002008-02-20T11:35:00.000-07:00Alberta's NDP: too busy to tell the truth!Alberta's NDP: too busy to tell the truth!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-10290429.post-90666846133591814842008-02-20T11:34:00.000-07:002008-02-20T11:34:00.000-07:00Alberta's NDP: too busy to tell the truth!Alberta's NDP: too busy to tell the truth!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-10290429.post-56682468565158830342008-02-20T11:32:00.000-07:002008-02-20T11:32:00.000-07:00A little sensitive, eh?I never said the NDP policy...A little sensitive, eh?

I never said the NDP policy was bad, I was just pointing out pretty big factual error on their website. I really fail to understand how that "editorial bashing?"

I would hope that all the NDP are doing is just watching other parties press releases, but keeping your website up to date and factual is a pretty important part of getting your message out.davebertahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06822739409684978316noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-10290429.post-21282000189618623582008-02-20T11:31:00.000-07:002008-02-20T11:31:00.000-07:00But apparently the NDP war room has enough cash to...But apparently the NDP war room has enough cash to supply staffers to pollute Daveberta's comments section!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-10290429.post-48166417080760728302008-02-20T11:20:00.000-07:002008-02-20T11:20:00.000-07:00"How is that angst directed at the NDP?"Dave detai..."How is that angst directed at the NDP?"

Dave details each party's policy and the only one he gives serious editorial bashing too is the NDP's.

I guess that makes sense given the latest poll numbers. The NDP are gaining in Edmonton while people turn away from the tired Liberal campaign.

Has it occured to you that parties such as the NDP have limited resources and are perhaps busy with more important things than watching for Liberal press releases?

The Liberals and PCs might be able to afford enough paid staff to waste time watching what everyone else does, but the other parties cannot afford to do that.

The NDP are putting their time into creating & getting their own message out, not into reacting to the other groups. Perhaps it's time the Liberals tried a similar approach?Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-10290429.post-83609833236327779282008-02-20T10:37:00.000-07:002008-02-20T10:37:00.000-07:00How is that *angst* directed at the NDP? They are ...How is that *angst* directed at the NDP? They are acusing the Liberals of something that is untrue, therefore the NDP is purposely misleading voters and students on this issue.

They have had 4 days to update their website since Saturday, why haven't they?

This is the type of thing that causes people to hate politics.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-10290429.post-82358939888346861302008-02-20T10:21:00.000-07:002008-02-20T10:21:00.000-07:00More angst directed at the NDP, Dave? For shame. ...More angst directed at the NDP, Dave? For shame. Until a few days ago it was absolutely true that the Liberals had no plan for post-secondary.

Oh, and what is the new Liberal plan? A softer & sillier version of the NDP's pre-existing plan!

I'm sooo *shocked* to see the Liberals steal & then weaken a policy idea from the NDP.

Oh wait... no I'm not! They do it all the time. The Liberal rental plan is still a joke... capping rental increases at a fixed % for a single year will do nothing except cause huge rental increases the year after that. The Liberals have no plan to reduce auto insurance rates (they might maybe possibly think about looking at something like public insurance). The Liberal promise of preventing school closures flies in the face of fiscal reality.

Liberals campaign on distorted NDP policies and then vote like PC's in the Legislature.

Nobody should vote for that.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
