when is a blog dead?

How long does a blog have to be dormant before it's considered to be "dead?"

Is the Child of Reagan dead?

1 year sounds about right, I didn't want to quite rule them out as dead yet. :-)

What happens to a blog deferred?
Does it shrivel up like a raisin in the sun?

Or does it EXPLODE

I would say that a blog is dead only after the official suicide note is posted as a last entry. Proper blog-ettiquitte would require one to post a 'blogabout' message if they were taking a few weeks or months off blogging. Child of Reagan is what I would call a 'zombie blog' - its lifeline status being unable to ascertain at the present time.

I am working on a Dead Blog Society" that features an 'endangered species blogroll'.

Thank you and good day.

Maybe it would be appropriate to say that Child of Reagan is in a "blog coma."

Cool idea with the Dead Blogs Society, Aaron. I'll put a link up to it. A blog graveyard.
