save a cowboy, hang a horse.

Driving down the Queen Elizabeth II Highway on the way to Canmore on Friday, we passed a Semi that had the following painted on its side:

Born a farmer
Raised a trucker
Always a redneck

Bring Back Capital Punishment
and
"Hang the Bastards!"
Eloquent.

Exactly the reason why I had to always attempt to convince people everyone in Alberta isn't a reactionary moron. Travel outside Alberta for more than a long weekend and see exactly how others veiw the province, and don't let fake idea that "oil and jobs" makes albertans superior, it just makes us distracted.

Did you see a storage silo named Jimbob? That is one of my favourites.

Why should any of us care how other people perceive us? Isn't it more important how we perceive ourselves?

It may just be my opinion, but I don't think most Albertans would appreciate being sterotyped as a hairy redneck truckers who want to hang people...

I'm not sure about you, but I define myself as a Canadian, not an Albertan.

"I'm sure anecdotes such as this help foster the wrong impression."

Don't forget rhetoric. The right in Alberta is really good at rhetoric.

I think that bumper sticker is funny. I have no problem bringing back capital punishment and "hanging the bastards". Unless you guys got a fetish for child molesters and perverts.
