The fear comes from the Trudeau era where the government created bs taxes and clawed back ALberta's resource revenues through a formula that caused this province to go under in the 80's. I do not want that to happen and I'm glad that Klein is making a big deal of this just in case the feds think they can screw us again. The idea of putting resource revenues into equalization is an excuse by Dalton McGuinty and Charest to suck more money from Ottaw to fund their social programs rather than cut wasteful spending and keep spending under control. Saskatchewan doesn't want this either b/c they will lose money and they're only doing good right now b/c of oil and gas revenues. Otherwise they'd be a really poor province.
