And i thought it was only the Tory drones who comment on Globe articles who were spelling impaired...
It isn't a spelling error. Pogessive Conservatives are a new political party centered around an extreme enthusiasm for pogs. Conservatism is back! Only this time, in pog form!
Headquarters is spelled wrong on his sign.
"Headquaters"...
Very good Anonymous (12:59). You got the joke. Your volunteer shift with Bian Heninge begins tomorrow. Don't be late.
HAHAHA. That's a great shot! Looks like they didn't have a clear plan!
and yet, a search for headquaters into Google gives 513,000 matches...
doesn't that make it common enough use to be a word? ;)
This makes Heninger at least 50% more literate than half of Stelmach's cabinet. Go Team!
Wow. I have to say that this is pretty embarassing (and hilarious).
Maybe Craig Cheffins should challenge Heninger to a spelling bee?
Geez, this is almost as bad as the Alberta Liberals telephone vote fiasco in 1994. Remember that was the leadership race where the people of Brazil were responsible for putting Grant Mitchell over the top.
Leave it to an anonymous Tory blog poster to draw the conclusion that a huge spelling error on Brian Heninger's campaign office sign has something to do with a leadership race that a different party held 13 years earlier. I love the logic.
Good point anonymous - if only Grant Mitchell were running in this election so the Tories could excuse illiteracy with references to 13 year old stories.
That's pretty funny. Thanks for posting it dave.
Ok, just for the record, I Zorpheous did the artwork for the Headquaters,... forgot to run the spell cheque, again, my bad ;-)
LOL,
In the civic news department, the two main challengers vying to replace retiring Ward 6 Councillor Cavanaugh have their websites up:
Amarjeet Sohi's site:
http://www.sohi.ca/
Chinwe Okelu's site:
http://www.okelu2007.org/
Neither site seems "quite ready for prime time", although Mr Sohi's definitely has more content on it at this point.
I've seen both of these men speak at various public events and so far I've found Mr Sohi to be the much stronger candidate.
Sohi spoke at the recent affordable rentals rally, held on the steps of the Legislature, and he was an impressive representative for Public Interest Alberta's positions.
I understand the Green Party is pushing hard there in Calgary-Elbow. It should be an interesting race.
Michael:
How do you know I'm a anonymous Tory blogger? Perhaps I attended the Liberal convention as a delegate and witnessed it first hand. Of course, you were probably in diapers at the time.
Remember Michell, Chadi and Germain.
