and so it begins...

I still haven't decided whether I'm going to buy a Liberal Party of Canada membership to vote in this race, but I will be paying attention, as I need something to fill my time now that the American Presidential election is over...

None of your friends support Bob Rae?

I guess we know who Calgary Grit is supporting this time around...

Wow, does Ignatieff plan to win by saturating facebook with support groups?

I hadn't heard of Dominic LeBlanc until Dion stepped down. MP from New Brunswick. Son of former Governor General Romeo LeBlanc. Does anyone know his story??

Sadly I won't, not because I'm disinterested but because Liberal members don't vote for their leader; one buys a membership, and in turn selects a delegate who will actually be the one doing the voting for the new Liberal leader, in May... well, if there's not a back-room deal made, first.

Sounds quaint, in a late 19th-century sort of way.

But for a party arguably in need of new ideas and an infusion of fresh faces, this seems really passé and a touch undemocratic.

And, no, I'm not the only one who's thinking that.

You stole CG's thunder on his big news! You bastard!

LeBlanc's website should be online soon. Scott Tribe's keeping a list of blog endorsements which should have more info.

Ha ha.

That's what we in the biz call a "stretegic leak"...

But, holy crap, Iggy is winning the race in terms of number of facebook groups! Time for a "Edmonton Strathconians for LeBlanc" or "Bearded Bloggers for LeBlanc" group...

Jesus Christ Iggy has a lot of facebook groups!
