the caucus meetings must have been fun...

Former Edmonton-Meadowlark MLA Maurice Tougas on ALP leadership candidate and Calgary-Currie MLA Dave Taylor:

"...the supremely arrogant Taylor is an inveterate talker so infatuated with the sound of his own voice, he could perform his own eulogy."

I'm no fan of Taylor's, but Tougas is a legendary windbag in his own right.

Oh snap. I hope Tougas enjoyed writing that as much as he enjoyed writing the media release about the Tory war room last February, which cost him his campaign job. I know I enjoyed the hell out of reading them both, if only because they point out the main faults with your Party Dave, i.e., a sense that anything bad that happens is anyone's fault but the Liberals (pliable, right wing media - was Maurice on the same campaign the rest of us were?), and the delicious desire to stab each other in the back. Given how close Maurice and Mo Elsalhy are, I guess we can presume that all the protestations of party togetherness after last Saturday's vote are just so much BS?

Alberta Liberals, the gift that keeps giving...and giving...and giving...
