2008: alberta election odyssey.

Here's a look at some of the best 2008 Alberta election related YouTube videos from this week...

The Alberta Liberals have released a fantastic video of Leader Kevin Taft talking about Alberta's future.

Edmonton-Strathcona Alberta Liberal candidate Tim Vant has come out with this video. Tim is the owner of Fiore's Italian Cantina in the Garneau-area of Edmonton-Strathcona. The video includes an endorsement from Kim Franklin, owner of the High Level Diner.

Calgary-North Hill Alberta Liberal candidate Pat Murray has released an, err... interesting video... points for creativity, Pat...

The spotlight is put on Lacombe-Ponoka Tory MLA Ray Prins in a video from Alberta Green candidate Joe Anglin.

Red Deer-North ND candidate Shawn Nielson has a created a video of what can only be described as 'epic'...

Here's number 1 of 3 online get out the vote videos...

A well-off business owner has been endorsed by another well-off business owner? Shocking!

Not too sure why you keep plugging Mr. Vant there Dave. Strathcona's probably the Liberals least likely pick-up in all of Edmonton, and your candidate there isn't even interesting. Why not spend your airspace on Aman Gill or Chris Kibbermanis, 2 great Libs with good chances of winning?

Oh right, you're obsessed with beating New Democrats but not Tories.

I guess that makes sense since there's so little difference between Liberals and Conservatives.

Edmonton-Strathcona is where I call home and Tim Vant is the candidate I'm supporting, I thought that would have be obvious...

Also, since when have I not been obsessed with beating the Tories?

What's the feeling up in Edmonton? Will we be able to wipe out the PCs? Will Dave Hancock hold on?

I enjoyed the Pat Murray cartoon, kinda of proto-typical Liberal speak, where throwing money at problems makes them go away, I wonder if the symbolism of the money going to the "environment" being swallowed up was intentional because it seems everyone has their own definition of "environment" so how can they throw money at it?

At the end of the day though, if the entire cartoon was meant as a joke, then i think it's just another example of someone running for MLA who believes they will be able to do more than they think(ie. Maurice Tougas)

I like Murray's cartoon - at least it shows a little more than your average political ad creativity. Why not have a little fun?

Anonymous at the top--you really think the High Level Diner and Fiore's represent big business?

I think Notley will make a good candidate (and she'll probably take Strathcona pretty easily). But, honestly, the NDP campaign of "Liberals=Conservatives" and comments like that are giving me ample reasons not to vote NDP again.

The Murray ad was excellent - should attract interest among young voters. I also like the get out to vote ad. The NDP candidate's ad - pretty boring and probably hurt him more than anything.

I personally love how Shawn Nielson's NDP video mis-spelled "whoops".

Alberta's NDP - not even able to make a mistake correctly.

How come the vids don't work?

Hmmmer. Things that make ya go, hmmm?

I wouldn't say that the AB NDP has any official knowledge of Shawn Neilson's video ( there are plenty of spelling errors in there btw ) but the point was well taken. Not everyone is a perfect speller.

To whomever said that they aren't voting NDP this time because the NDP said that Liberals = Conservatives... I highly doubt you ever planned on voting NDP anyways and I don't buy your rhetoric.
